- BASIC MEDICINE
- In this subject, students will study the knowledge of pharmacy practice in hospitals and local pharmacies, which is rapidly changing. This subject aims to develop and upgrade students’ practical competencies as pharmacists by learning the scope, policy and standard of current pharmacy practice.

- DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM
- Conventional dosage forms as well as novel drug delivery systems will be discussed in this course. Strategies and basic backgrounds to develop, evaluate and apply novel drug delivery systems in human body will be covered. Physicochemical characteristics of drug will be taught in association with drug product on the market. Emphasis will be put on transdermal delivery systems, controlled release dosage forms and nanomedicine.

- NATURAL PRODUCTS CHEMISTRY II
- Natural Product Chemistry is a subject to study naturally occurring secondary metabolites of living organisms on earth. Natural Product has been widely used as the sources of pharmaceuticals, cosmeceuticals, industrial materials, alternative energy, functional foods, and traditional medicines. In particular, Natural Product is important source of structurally intriguing and biologically active compounds for drug discovery. This class will cover modern research techniques in natural product chemistry as well as biosynthetic mechanisms and pathways by structure class.

Emphasis on prescription analysis and interpretation; identification and selection of brand-name products and generic equivalents for use in drug therapy; proper use; handling and storage of medications.

- STRUCTURAL MODELING-BASED PAHRMACEUTICAL DEVELOPMENT
- Molecular Structure Modeling Based New Drug Development course will be lectured about general theoretical contents of discovery and development of low molecular synthetic new drugs by design of compounds using structure based computer molecular modeling. This course includes design of new drugs using structure based computer molecular modeling, discovery of hit compounds, selection of lead compounds, structure-activity relationships, identification of pharmacophore, and selection of a drug candidate for the development of new synthetic drugs. In addition, several examples of development of clinically using drugs will be handled during this course.

- This module covers minimal essential knowledge of law on pharmacy and related field such as healthcare system, pharmaceutical affairs, narcotics, medical instruments, hygienics, cosmetics, etc., and provides potential pharmacists with learning opportunities on current topics and ethical issues regarding their roles as health care experts in the future.

- BIOPHARMACEUTICS
- In this course, you will learn the theory related to the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of drugs administered through various routes to the body. The lectures will cover topics such as the structure of biological membranes, mechanisms of drug membrane permeation, absorption of drugs in the gastrointestinal tract and beyond, tissue distribution of drugs, drug metabolism pathways, metabolic sites and enzymes, renal excretion of drugs, biliary excretion, and other forms of elimination, as well as the basics of pharmacogenomics. Additionally, you will also study drug dosing regimen design, understanding drug-drug interactions, and the dynamic changes in drug disposition based on formulation.

- A study of the basic principles of pharmacokinetics and physiological basis for drug absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion; use of mathematical principles and equations to describe these processes as well as rational design dosage regimens for individual patients. Elementary compartmental modeling, mechanism of drug absorption, mechanism of renal clearance, multiple dosage regimens, nonlinear pharmacokinetics and assessment of drug bioavailability are discussed.

Distribution of drugs, hepatic elimination, biopharmaceutic considerations in drug product design, bioequivalence, and dose adjustment in renal and hepatic diseases are also discussed in this course.
